Chapter I - Questions for the Blog discussion - Objective of the organizations

The Blog activism is worth 10% of the total final mark. So please discuss on the Blog at least two of the following questions. These first three questions must be answered preferably immediately after the introduction of the course:
  1. Do you think that there is a single objective (or purpose) for all the organizations (e.g. an hospital, a firm like Apple, Microsoft, a non-profit organizations)? Why?
  2. What could be the interests of the entrepreneur in running a business (e.g. a restaurant)? Do you think the business (i.e. the restaurant) may have a different interest compared to its owner? Why?
  3. What could be the interest of a politician in running a public administration?
If someone just copy and paste the questions/answers of others, acting as a free rider, please whistle blow letting me know anonymously by email.

    2. 1. I think that there is not a single objective for all the organizations, because it depends on what type it is. For example, a non-profit firm could never have the same purpose of Apple, if that happened the first one would run counter the principles that determine it, consequently it could not be defined non-profit.

      2. The first interest of an entrepreneur is the profit, but who starts a business cannot only think to earn, without investing in its business, for example, if I run a restaurant and I offer my clients poor quality food, I will not go very far. The owner must take care of business’ interest, or he won’t be successful.

      3. The period that we are living leads me to think that the politicians which take care of a public administration are few, because most of all are just hungry for power and richness, they are not interested in the common welfare.

    3. 1. i believe that every organization has his own purpose.of course it depends on the kind of service it is formed for. in fact, each one is provided and grows for different reasons. For example, Microsoft or Apple are firms that are born to guarantee platforms suitable for each type of person and job. they give fastness and ease to people's life. On the other hand , the aim of an hospital is to cure and help people. Basically ,non profit or profit organization have different purposes, the former wants to guarantee service for volunteering but it didn't want to depend on money, the latter offers a useful service but its aim it to earn money. everything depends on the type of organization we are talking about and the service that offers to the costumers.

2.An entrepreneur develops his business for money. To achieve that, he offers a useful and worthy service thats is why it becomes successful.
Usually the running business reflects the entrepreneur's idea but sometimes it happens that he comes up with an idea,he creates it ,but the results he achieved are different or unexpected form the beginning. As a consequence, the concrete result and his idea differ.

3.I think that running a public administration for a politician could be easier for his profit because he counts on the range of different people that use the service.
In fact, public administration is accessible to everyone and a politician might be able to manipulate the service in the way he wants to, just because he has the certainty that people are going to use it.

    4. 1) I think it's impossible that all organizations have the same objective because we are considering so different and varied sectors of business (electronic companies, like Apple and Microsoft, or private and public administrations, like hospitals and schools...), each one specialized in different things, and, as a consequence, with different aims. If not, in this world nothing could be working because of the excessive conflict of interests between every organization.

      2) Even though nowadays, for what we can see, the main purpose of an ideal entrepreneur is to make money as soon and easily as possible, it doesn't mean that his objective is the same of the business he is running in. For instance, if he comes up with the idea to start a new dress company, even if his main aim is to make money, the purpose of his business could be to offer and guarantee a good service and a high quality materials on all the dresses his shop is selling. Furthermore, doing this, his business could also make him become richer more easily because of the increasing satisfaction of the costumers' desires.

      3) The interests of a politician in running a public administration could be several. The public administrations can offer the same services of the private ones, not considering the quality and the functionality they provide to the costumers, but their services are available and accessible to a larger population strata, so the politician, controlling a public service, could be way more incisive and so, he could handle, manipulate and effect a larger number of lives.

    5. 1 I believe that all the organizations have the same purpose: satisfy costumers in order to give them their needs and make profit. Nevertheless there is a big difference between firms such as Apple, Microsoft .. and a non-profit one. For-profit organizations have grown to generate income for enterpreneurs. Non-profit companies work for objective other than make money ( public schools, churches, charity.. ).
2 The interest of an entrepreneur running a business could be make money and ensure a good standing of his firm. Even the owner should be sure that his company makes a big profit in order to guarantee great facilities and a right balance.
3 I think politician’s interest running a business could be get citizens votes and make more money.

    6. 1- In my opinion every organization has a different objective. For example, the aim of a private orgnanization (Microsoft, Apple) will be different from the aim of a public organization as an hospital. On the one hand the hospital has the objective of ensuring the health of patients, on the other hand the goal of a private company is primarily related to the gain of money. However, in both cases there may be a common goal: satisfy customers
2- I strongly believe that the main goal of every entrepreneur is to make money. For this reason i think that sometimes the business could have a different interest compared to its owner. For example the goal of a restaurant is to satisfy its customers through the quality of its products while the aim of the owner is to maximize profit.
3-The interest of a politician in a public administration could be to take advantage of its power and its image in order to improve the negative aspects of the service offered by this administration.

    8.   1 In my opinion each organization has its own purpose, because it depends on the characteristics that define itself. In example a tco company could never have the same objectives (or aims) of an hospital. However many organization could have some point in common. It is the so called cooperation, one of the most important factor for the success nowadays, expecially because of competition.

2 In my point of view there are two main types of behaviour as an enterpreneur. In the first one he works for the wellness of the enterprise, so he does not care if he has to work more or to take more responsability. It often occures in small firms, like the ones managed by the same family. The other behaviour is completely different. Here the boss just limitates himself to the main activities he has to run, trying to have the littlest part of responsability. So an enterpeneur has different purposes than his firm when he wants immediate profit or something goes differently than planned. However running a business he can also follow different points of view but having good results. It could happen when an enterpreneur opens a business in a field he does not know very well or when his collegues, without following his guidelines, achieve good proficts.

3 A politician must have interests in well running public administration because he has to work for citizens. The interest of a manager has to reflect the reason why he is in that position. A politician is the responsible of the population. So its main interests are to give the right guidelines for each kind of bureaucratic problem to the citizen and to the whole apparate he runs, in a way to get every action clare and fast, and to organize the public administration to provide the right servicies to who pays fees for these.

    9. 1-Sayng that every organization has s single purpose in my opinion is not possible. Is it true that the MAIN purpose , most of the time, of a profit organization or azienda (for example Apple) is to maximize profit and products selling, but is to exceed too other competitor corporation. In this case in research and technology.
this is true also for nonprofit organization like an hospital. maybe the purpose is to reach a certain number of successful operation or improve the quality and the services of the structure .

2-Most of the time the entrepreneur in a freelance business is the owner itself. This can be in the case of the owner is a restaurateur of a restaurant who not only works for the profit but also for what he believes in .
In different business interests may differ depending on their employee. In the case of the restaurant a business can have a different interest from its owner. The aim of a restaurant is to satisfy the customer need (in terms of food). The aim of an owner can be the profit.

3-Generally the main interest of a politician who is running a public administration is to make as much as he can do in his own power to improve the lifestyle of his community, but in most of the modern society, especially in Italy, this doesn’t happen.
So a modern politician has to use his influence and his managerial skills to convince the other that what he is doing is the best that someone could ever do for his country or community.

    10. 1.In my opinion they could not have a single purpose as their elements are completely different comparing each other . They must have their own basis in order to improve the organisation and reach success otherwise they could not run the organisation. However, the main purpose of all is satisfying customers.

2.I believe for being successful the entrepreneur must have his own interests in order to handle his organization , to make much more profit daily .

3.The interest of politicians in public administration will change compare to their main purpose . However it is most likely to have interests like power , be famous, handle everything at the same time and so on .

    12. 1) In my opinion, the objective should be different according to the sector in which the organization works, in fact a public or a non-profit organization should have as purpose the satisfaction of human needs only, while a private organiztion will satisfy human needs but it will get back a profit. On the other hand, in these last years the profit seems to be the only and the main important objective. Nowadays, for this reason, new private organizations have replaced public organizations in several sectors as the healthcare and school sector.
      2) The owner could not be an expert therefore he may not have a long-term vision and his interest could be the profit only, while an entrepreneur wants to satisfy human needs to achieve a profit. Moreover, an entrepreneur has a detached viosion and he manages the company, tryng to ensure a growth.
      3) One of the interests of a politician in running a public administration is the satisfaction of human needs, doing something useful for the country, tryng to change bad things and ensuring welfare and an economic development. At the beginning he probaby would do all this because he wants real changes but at least, he probaby would do that to get consents. This happens because once you get power you want it more and more.

  2. 1) The only common purpose could be satisfy the costumers increasing the efficiency of the organization in order to create a solid value. The single aims of the organizations are instead different, for example an hospital works to take care of the health of its patients, on the other side an organization like Apple or Microsoft seeks to satisfy the technology hub creating innovative resources and systems. Furthermore the aim of the private and public companies is the profit obviously. Except the non-profit organizations like Unicef, WWF exc..that work for the wellness and the cohabitation between people and also between people and animals as in the case of WWF.
    2) The interest of the entrepreneur is to manage the economic growth increasing the business' profit. He contributes to develop new products and new markets through investments and marketing strategies. The interests of the business are the production and the exchange of property or services. I think the interests could be different if the entrepreneur overlooks the quality of the business' resources to focus only on the profit.
    3) The interest of a politician in a public administration could be the consolidation of his image through propaganda activities.

  3. 1 All the organizations have a single common purpose which is to provide services and goods to the society. The difference between private, public and non-profit organizations is in the management of the flow of value of money, goods and services. For example, a private organization builds value for the holding to which belongs, by selling services. A public organization builds value by offering services to the citizens using taxes. A non-profit organization builds value thanks to volunteering, when private and public organizations cannot guarantee the right quality of services.

3 In the ideal world, the politician doesn't have any personal interests in running a public administration, because his work is to maintain and valorize the common goods in the name of other citizens. But in the real world it is really frequent that the politician may use his role in order to preserve and increase his own affairs. This deviation from the institutional role is often the reason of the decay of the society, as it brings to a non-clear managing and slows down the enrichment and development of public economy.

  4. 1. Let's start to define terms like "purpose" and "objective"; maybe we could easily answer saying that money and profit are the main purposes but I see a deep and more structural meaning. I think that a purpose is the organization's reason for being, combining vision, mission and values. A vision is an aspirational way to imagine what do we want to become, while a mission is the what of an organization, and taking for example an organization like an hospital the mission is to take care for and provide therapy to those who suffer due to illness. Everything is linked up by the values, meant as a good behavior applied by ethic and integrity. The purpose is the vision's core and through the values and the mission leaders and employees can communicate to direct a purpose even in more parallel ways to fullfill different strategic goals. At first Apple and Microsoft were born to become leaders in informatic industries but now they changed their purpose directing and focusing their resources to the comunication industry collaborating on the deveolpment of social networks and mobiles or offering customers relationship management solutions to help the grown of the little companies.

    2. Run a business in the food-service domain could be a smart idea today. Changing lifestyles and the lack of inclination to cook bring a lot of people to fullfill their nutritional needs with restaurants and fast foods. An entrepreneur who's attempting to run this kind of business has to plan carefully his idea, aiming a single or more targets of customers (elders, young people between 18-35, families, couples etc...) and defining the type of food-service (a professional restaurant, a fast food, a street food concept or a franchise solution). The entrepreneus's interest, always following a vision, a mission and a value, is to provide a good quality food-service in order to get a very lucrative business sharing during the time a top quality food culture.

    3. The Public Administration is strongly related to the politics and politicians. There's a true dichotomy that explain the boundaries between elected officials and administrators. We could say that administration field is a business field and politicians should be banned but in order to avoid a monopolization action from privates that could degenerate in corruption politicians applies politican system and behavior to administration, trying to keep a position of neutrality. But as I said before there's a strong possibility to fall down into a corruption dimension even if the administration is held by politicians. They could run these roles to influence the government asset according to their political party's programme or allowing the criminal organizations to extract resources from the public administration illegally.

  5. 1) The existence of all the organizations is based on the concept of demand and supply.
So their only purpose is to answer to this demand through services.
There are anyway different kind of profit:
Public Organizations need to work well in order to get the politician re-elected.
Corporations need to work well in order to increase the value and share profits.
Non-profit organizations need to work in order to let us feel better about the problems of the society (climate change, poverty, animals…).

    2) An entrepreneur could run a business for different reasons (money, passion, duty…).
I think that the interests of a manager and a the interests of a business can be different.
A clear example could be a hospital: The owner (or the manager) could only want to earn money on the sick people while the hospital main aim remains to heal them properly.

    3) I should say "the good of the society" but we all know that in many cases this is not completely true. Public Administrations should theoretically be the best corporations because their services are voted by the people every 4-5 years and if a politician wants to be re-elected he needs to appoint good managers and avoid fraud. Unfortunately the system seems to be broken and public organizations are becoming every day more like a cash machine (for the politicians) and less like a common good.

  6. 1. Each organization has its own purpose, depending on the service that it offers. A public body as it could be an hospital, deals with human's health, therefore it provides a primary necessity and for this reason the service furnished has to be immediate, precise and without any margin of error. Moreover this health service needs to be gradually updated in order to reach better results. In the case of a private company such as Apple or Microsoft the situation is rather different, the main aim of this type of organizations is to sell products beating the competition and increasing the balance sheet. In this case costumers are looking for an unnecessary item that has to be innovative and creative to satisfy the requests and the price it has been paid.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 2 An entrepreneur has the interest of giving visibility to his business in order to reach success and increasing its profit. This aim could be achieved satisfying the costumers with a good quality of products providing the best value for money.
3 Politicians, as the representatives of a nations and its citizens, should put the nation's profit before their own ones. Contrary to what often happens, they have the assignment of contributing to safeguard citizen's economical and social conditions, furnishing them the best services without any economical loss that could damage his country's position.

  8. 1. I strongly believe that each organisation has a specific aim. The biggest difference is between profit and non-profit companies. Non-profit organisations are supposed to use the money they received, in order to improve the services they offer. I personally think they work for people benefits, helping people in need, or maybe suggesting and spreading social ideas for a better “lifestyle”. For-profit organisations are founded to make money. In my honest opinion they also want other people to know their point of view or their idea. I.e: a small restaurant with local dishes, that expands itself all over a country, has two purposes: to make money, and to divulge a particular and specific “culture of food”. I would finish saying: each company has a primary interest, but all the other aims are hidden to the costumers.

    2. I like to say that a strong idea is the basis for an entrepreneur. The main interest of an entrepreneur should be to help the growth of that idea, improving it, and looking after every aspect of that. The business grows thanks to structured, innovative ideas. It is not just about “opening a restaurant”, but also about the location, the quality of food, the service it offers.. In my opinion there could be a different interest between the owner and the business: a football team is supposed to win trophies, but the owner could reach his aim (i.e. make money) without winning competitions, maybe just selling image rights or using the right advertising campaign. On the other hand the best results are reached when the entrepreneur and his business go to the same direction.

    3. We use money to improve the quality of our lives. The public administration does the same. The politician is the one that makes it possible, running a good administration and making both people’s life and his own life better. This is because he works for the collectivity, but at the same time he is part of that collectivity. This must be very satisfying, because people will appreciate the way you worked for them. Unfortunately, we live in a corrupted world in which the personal interest comes before the collective welfare.

    ReplyDelete
  9. 1) I think that there is not a single objective for all the organizations. Of course the main goal is to make a good profit (except for the non-profit organizations), but also the customer's satisfaction is very important. The best way to make a profit is to convince people to buy what you sell (technologic objects for microsoft or apple, quality food for restaurants etc...) and if a client is satisfied he will rebuy the product. Futhermore to be renowned is very important for these kind of firms and they make all the best to be the number one in their field.
When it comes to the non-profit organizations their main goal is to protect the environment, animals, or people. They try to earn as much money as posible to reach their "altruistic" purposes.

    2) The interests of the entrepreneur in running a business as a restaurant could be various. Of course the most important interest is an economic interest. For this kind of entrepreneur to have a restaurant is a job and so they need to earn money in order to live. There are other purposes For example, in these days a lot of "Bio restaurants" are opening. Their objective is to prepare dishes using only natural food for people who want to eat "healthy" food.

    ReplyDelete
  10. In my opinion all types of companies\organizations have different objectives and this is essential to enable a broader range of offers. Of course to get profit is the goal of the most widespread companies on the territory (from supermarkets to hotels). These organizations in order to achieve their profit, need to reach the greatest number of customers and from this necessity comes a number of other minor objectives indispensable to achieve the ultimate goal( for instance producing good quality products at low prices).

Therefore I reckon that this objective is quite different from the one of other companies, such hospitals, which aim is to provide the best for the patients. Particularly in public hospitals doctors are not directly connected to the profit of the company, which is only one of the objectives and not the main one. No-profit organizations that use also their surplus income in order to achieve their mission set their goals based on different parameters, not closely related to the final income.
Based on the above, I believe that the main difference between profit and no-profit organizations, hospitals and so on is only the ultimate goal, as all companies share the same goals but they have different priorities (for instance: profit could be the main aim for an Apple store and the less-important aim for a no-profit organization).

  11. 1: I think that the purposes of the organizations vary very strongly depending on their kind. All of them are managed to be as efficient as possible, but of course a for-profit organization will move every single step towards the economic growth, while a non-profit one would probably care way more about its result and impact, than about the incomes. That doesn't mean that all the for-profit organizations have the same goals. Big companies like the well known tech giants, or the hedge funds, or investment banks strive everyday to grow the empire they have created and their own value; while there are organizations like private hospitals or schools that, even if they have to worry about the profit to survive, surely don't make it a priority, focusing their efforts on giving their customers the best service possible, knowing that after all that's the smarter thing to do in order to grow.

2: An entrepreneur can have many interests in running a business. The most shared one is probably money, but I think that the profit itself is never enough as a motivation to create a very succesfull business. Personally I believe that most entrepreneur like the competition, like to challenge themselves and try in the meanwhile to create something as big as possible, knowing that without them nothing would have existed. At least initially, I believe that the interest of the entrepreneur and the business are similar, headed in the same direction, but eventually it's very easy for them to change. It's obvious that when both are on the same page everything works better, but I honestly don't think that if the interests of a business are different from the entrepreneur ones it will lead to failure. A car company owner could be focused only in making the best cars the world has ever seen, while the shareolders and the company are only focused on the profit, and even if not perfectly the two things could coexist very well.

3: A politician could run a public administration for several reasons. He could do it to build an even deeper network of important friendships and improve its influence in the political game. He might want to get people to know who he is, to give its name an important meaning and increase his public visibility. Or sadly, as too often happens, he just wants to blackmail people from a position of strenght, or worst, use his political role and his public administration position to create businesses that he will use to make unfair money. For example, when they are the ones who choose which company will get citizens' money to build the new school, and they have a construction company, it's easy to predict who will get them.

    ReplyDelete
  12. 1) First of all, I think there is a common purpose for all the organizations: make profit.
Then, every kind of business has his own particular usage of money.
The aim of firms like Apple or Ferrari is to increase their budget to invest in research or development, but at the same time cares also the private earnings, to give, for example, more satisfying salaries to the employees in order to increase their productivity.
For a public hospital, profits are useful to give to the society more efficient services, while other costs like salaries are usually under the control of governments.
The apparent contradiction of the "non-profit" organizations that want to make profit, can be explained in this way: profits of an association like Greenpeace are invested in order to make possible every operation or mission they have to face. Much money are spent in bureaucratic aspects. For the volunteers that work for non-profit organizations, salaries are at their minimum rate, or often they do not exist.

Finally, budgets of firms like Microsoft are invested especially in their private objectives and purposes, while in public businesses, and even more in non-profit organizations, money are spent for public services.

    2) The entrepreneur who runs a business looks for every benefits worth to him. Run a business is a risky job that can led both to success or to failure.
Is an hard work that must be sustained by a great motivation. This, can be easily a will to earn money, but I think there must be other interests. If an entrepreneur does not believe in the business that he is running, he will hardly be succesful, due to a lack of motivation in his job.
The interests of a business on his own can appear different from the ones of its owner, but, at the end, I suppose they are very similar. A bike shop, for example, can aim even just to spread the passion for bikes over the population. The owner of the shop, instead, wants to satisfiy costumers as more as possible. But finally, the purpose of the entrepreneur can lead to reach an higher number of costumers, that, at the same time, can help to spread the business all across the population, and with it also the passion for bikes.

3)Running a public administration is a great occasion for a politician to have more support between the population. A politician who runs properly a public service, earns surely a better image of himself in the eyes of electors.
But this can lead also to criminal actions. In fact, a man who has a strong power in public administrations and has a great will of mantain his privileged status, controls an organization with the aim of advantages for himself or for his friends. Corruption in public administrations is not rare in our country, from nepotism to illegal administration of public money, and a politician can use his power to buy electors or to damage his political opponents.
In the end, I believe that a politician cannot run a public business, to avoid conflicts of interest and corruption, that damage just the population.

  13. 1. There are important differences between those that see the only purpose of organizations is making money and those that see a variety of purposes. It's true that companies such as Microsoft, Apple and many more aim to make a profit, but it's not their single purpose. Offering innovation in technology, improving and facilitating people's lives are an example of other important goals reached by these organizations. Non-profit organizations obviously fall into another category of organization which cannot be compared to those just mentioned, as well as public organizations. But all these organizations have in common the aim to offer the best possible service. So although there are large differences between the various categories of organizations, we can say that there is a common purpose.

    2. The entrepreneur is the person responsible for identifying a business opportunity and taking it from idea to reality. He is the initial organizer responsible for the business. A successful entrepreneur turns his ideas into a business through careful planning, market research and a developed vision. The main intersts for both owner and entrepreneur are profit and best quality of service.

    3. There are many reasons a politician could be interested in running a public administration. Develop his leadership qualities, public administration jobs require strong leadership skills. The choice to work in private or public sector, decent starting salaryand most of all the chance to hold important government positions.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 1. All the organizations are focused on the needs of own customer, and this is the single purpose common to all kind of organizations: non-profit, firms and so on. It is certainly true to say that each organizations is based on a different ways of thinking and on several ways of working , for example a non-profit organization will not concentrate its marketing on money (how a firm could do), but it will try to make aware people toward social themes as respecting natures, wars, famine. So, once we have exceeded the common purpose, we can explore all the aspects of organizations.

    3. Everytime I read “public administration” and “politicians”, I immediately think to corruption and power abuses. This because I am influenced by the place where I have lived since I was born (Rome, Italy). Most of politicians see what is “public” like a hidden way to increase own richness or to improve own political image. But if we want to see positive side of this relation, we can say that the politician’s interest in public administration is to guarantee services, goods and wellness to citiziens.

  15. 1) I honestly think that satysfing the costumers and improving society and people's lives may be a common purpose but what I reckon is that there is a difference between some organizations in the way the owners or those who run the company are concerned about that objective. For example a non-profit organization like a public Hospital (which is a bit different from a private one) has as its main aim to provide a good service to all the citizens while a profit organization like Apple, that spends a lot of money in different fields (taxes, researching, employees' salaries, exporting the products, advertisment, ecc..), needs also to concentrate on how much profit it makes to survive and grow up.

    2) There could be many goals that a owner set to him/herself: expanding the company, meeting and providing the needs of the customers and obviously making profit may be some of them. I think the business have in common with the owner some of those interests. For example the main obejctive of a restaurant is to make people happy and satisfyed and to encourage them to come again. Obviously the business itself is not concerned about the profit beacuse it has not to think about all the costs that "running a business" implies.

    3) A politician might have lots of interests in running a public administration. First of all I think about the fame that he could gain among the citizens claiming that he is trying to improve our society and that he is interested in what the citizens need. That could guarantee him many votes. Then the power and the influence that running a Public Administration implies should not be forgotten, without even mentioning the salary that he would earn.

  16. 1. We can say that all the organizations have the same purposes to identify the expectations and to satisfy the requirements of costumers, creating a value. In order to describe the single purpose of every company we cannot say that all of these want to reach the same results (and in the same way). Similar purposes could exist among similar organizations but not among very different ones. So profit companies will have 'earnings' as main objective and they must conquer a positive vantage, overcoming other ones. No profit associations will have others results to reach,as for UNICEF is take care of children and their parents in Third World, not looking for gains.

    2. In running a business, for example creating a new food chain, an entrepreneur have to bring a new successfull idea on the market,in order to obtain huge earnings due to the new business. The entrepreneur encourages the use of services and goods of the industry, looking for the marketplace and customers, choosing a specific target of people that she/he wants to satisfy. I think that owner can extend business on the market but if the new business has a different interest from entrepreneur the initial idea failed, because the entrepreneur and the business must go on in the same way.

    3. The presence of politicians in the public amministration is a strenghtened reality by now. If politicians have loyal interests to amministrate the public field, paying attention to people's demands and problems, this presence doesn't fall in corruption. But the politics 'sometimes' could have a lucrative interests that become dangerous for the society, reaching money through wrongly way, passing to political corruption, accepting compromises, playing a filth game, forgetting what it must do in a society.

  17. I am giving my answers without studying economy and with my total honesty
1-I think that an organization may have more than a single objective such as making a profit, expanding the firm (like Apple), improving their quality and developing new products with the newest technologies that have a good value between price and quality. I think everything is run by profit. The principal objective of non-profit organizations is the wellbeing of people, and the owners of the organization do not make profit, which means that they ask for donations from companies and people. By donating to non-profit organizations, companies with profit can develop their image. like this it’s like an investment
2-the interests of the entrepreneur in running a business is to make profit. For example, in running a restaurant, the entrepreneur needs to find a way between what people want and how he can make a profit with what people want. He has to decide if his strategy in making a profit is between quality or quantity. In my opinion and with my experience, I can say that quality is harder to achieve because you need lot of experience, an expert team, and surely money to invest in the quality of food and service. On the other hand, quantity sometimes can be easier to achieve because people cannot afford to go and eat in a quality restaurant, so they prefer to spend less and have a lot of food without thinking about quality.
And yes I think business can have a different interest compared to its owner because the owner may not have any interest in what he sells or gives to the customers; he only wants to make profit.

3-A politician can have interest in a public administration to get more credits from the voters and more visibility, making you think that he is a very good person.

  18. 1: We could say that there is a single purpose which is common to all kinds of organization: satisfy the stakeholders' need. It doesn't matter whether the organization is public or private, its general aim still is to satisfy a need that the stakeholders have. We can surely say that in the specific case the need we're talking about is different: for example, the public hospital aims at taking care of the patients while Apple aims at providing the market with certain products that meet the customers' expectations and needs. The general idea that stands behind each kind of organizations is to provide the stakeholders (who can be the patients in the hospital case or the customers for Apple) with something that's able to satisfy their needs.

2: The entrepreneur can have different interests in running a business, depending on who the entrepreneur is and on what his goals are. Most times I believe entrepreneurs run businesses not because of the money or of the profit, but mainly because of the freedom and the feeling of self-accomplishment that the business and the money earned through it give the entrepreneur. Other entrepreneurs do it to leave a legacy, others maybe just because of the money: I believe that interests may change depending on the entrepreneur himself. The business itself and the people that work on it may have a different interest: for example, the entrepreneur that runs a restaurant might do that for the money that the restaurant makes him earn, but the restaurant itself's main interest is to provide customers with the best food, to make them feel satisfied and therefore to make them come back. The business itself may sometimes have an interest which could be one of the goals (but not always the main one) of the entrepreneur.

3: In a utopian and idealistic world the main interest of a politician who runs a public administration should be to give his best effort in order to make improvements for the community he works for. Of course this doesn't happen very often in the real world, especially in the country we live in. Looking at the question with a realistic point of view, the politician's interests might be several, for example: doing the job only because he/she is well paid or because the job gives him a safe salary every month; running the administration because he wants to influence others of his ideas (and that doesn't necessarily match with solving the public issues the politician deals with); doing it for other personal purposes.

  20. 1)Every organization focuses his attention on a specific context (environment, electronics, vehicles etc) , giving to the firm a very high knowledge about that context. This means that every organization has some unique goals to reach, however we can say that in a context shared by various organizations, we can see that a common purpose does exist: each of them will try to obtain the supremacy on the others (for example Apple and Samsung), sometimes going beyond the “customer satisfaction”.

2)The duty of an entrepreneur is to manage the economic matters of his business. I would say that the business and the owner share a common main goal: increase the notoriety of the investment in order to create a base to expand and strengthen the business, enhancing the incomes.

3)running a public administration is a political strategy to make citizens believe they are directly involved in the political matters, giving to the politician a wider fame and notoriety.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 1. I strongly believe that all organizations (profit and non-profit) share the exact same objective: to satisfy the costumer. The only difference between profit and non-profit companies is why they actually want to make the costumer happy. The profit organizations aim obviously to make money, so making the costumer happy means assuring that the client will come back and will bring more money to the firm. (i.e. If you buy the iPhone 6 and you’re satisfied, you’ll most likely buy the 6S, if you’re not, you’ll probably switch to Samsung). Non-profit organizations aim to improve society in some way, so they don’t actually have real costumers but they work for those in need of help.

2.The #1 interest of an entrepreneur is without any doubt to make money. If he makes money he’ll be able to invest them to upgrade his product/business and this will let him to make even more money. While the business’ interest is to satisfy the costumer.

3.The only interest of a politician in running a public administration would be to earn credibility in order to get a broad consensus between citizens.

  22. 1.I believe that any kind of organization has the same objective: to improve the condition of certain aspects of customers’ life. As a hospital aims to take care of its patients’ health, as well a firm like Microsoft provides to its customers material goods, sometimes not necessary , to facilitate their daily routine. However, we must differentiate the factors that push entities toward their purposes: indeed, the aim of an organization may only be the material profit and money making, or else be the unselfish interest to cooperate for the common good.
3.Politicians’ goal is to conquer peoples trust and give them reason to believe in their work. Running a public administration could for a figure of politics be the chance to actively participate to the social life. Other than an occasion to publicize themselves among the population, it is a way to demonstrate that they work to change things practically.

    2) The entrepreneur aims mainly towards profit. Businesses have a similar goal but in a different way. Seeing as that a business has various components (personnel, a building to maintain, and various other expences) that in order to maintain stable, it needs to be taken care of. In other words the business needs a good entrepeneur that keeps the business in order. Maintaining it with the money left over from his profit. Plus a business has another goal which is fame. Increasing its profit.

    3) I think a politician's main interest in running a public administration is to gain self-image. It will get more people to support him in the future.

  27. 1. Any firm (non-profit, or profit) has one common goal, that is to improve society's lifestyle, and each organization does it in different ways (e.g. Apple and Microsoft do research in the technology field, to find new ways to communicate, or to simplify everyday tasks, via device; hospitals focus on taking care of people, and doing research in the medicine department). Although, there is a substantial difference these two types of firms: a profit one, as the word suggests, are focused on the economic part.

    2. I don't think that owners of businesses have same interests as the business itself. Relating to the restaurant example, I think waiters are more focused on the satisfaction of the customer (obviously also the owner, but maybe not as much) as they can interact directly with other people, and they feel the image of the restaurant depends entirely on them. On the contrary owners are focused on the profit, being (in most cases) the main reason they set up the organization in the first place.

    3. As correctly mentioned in other replies, a political figure could be interested in running a public administration, as for propaganda reasons. Otherwise I think, other interests could be that the politician would like to be known for doing other things, beside politics. This could have a positive impact on society, as long as it doesn't degenerate in corruption, or in relationships with big organized crime groups.

  28. 1)I think the profit organizations not have only one objective .In my opinion, most companies(like Apple) want to make everyone live more comfortable and convenience, and to make money(probability the owner just want to let the company becomes one sign to reveal his value). But the Non-profit organizations maybe just want to improve the people’s living environment(like the Red Cross) 2).of course is the profit. If the owner wants to make the company run better to make more profit.he must need make customers satisfied with his products.so the Customer Satisfaction is also important.maybe i think it also need owner’s moral character,as we all know if the owner doesn’t have moral character, his staff, his products and his customers will not believe or be believe him. 3)something to make the politican run a public administration i think including make the people believe and support a political party.but in some countries, some politicans use their power and the convenience of the public administration to make thier own profit.that’s should be avoid and punish.
I think that i must have many grammatical errors, hope you could understand what i want to expression:D

  29. 1. In my opinion all these organizations have the same purpose: to make customers happy and to make profit. Of course, they do it in different way according to the different products they sell to costumers. Their aim is to achieve the world supremacy. However, I believe that non-profit organizations have different purposes because their aim is "to create" a better world.
    2. The interests of an entrepreneur in running a business are to become famous and rich. It is also very important to say that an entrepreneur can make money only through an excellent business; for this reason I strongly believe that the business has a different interest compared to its owner because the business wants customers' happiness whereas the owner wants to earn money.
    3. The interest of a politician in running a public administration is to increase his power.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1) To my understanding all organizations have the common objective to analyse their customer’s needs. However those needs differ depending on the service of your organization. Therefore the individual objective of each organization can’t be the same. For instance the fundamental objective of an profit organization is to turn a profit, that said all profit companies don’t necessarily have the same values as they depend on their respective fields.

    2) The objective of an entrepreneur is to either come up with an entirely new idea or to remedy an already known one. The interest of an entrepreneur should be take the idea and make it into a successful business, and therefore turn a profit. It of course depends on the entrepreneur what his interest and motives in running business are. However the business interest itself should mainly be to satisfy their customers. Of course if the entrepreneur wants his business to be a success he should think about that as well.

3)One could hope in a perfect world that it would be the opportunity to serve your fellow man and be a society leader. But the most obvious answer is power. In our days the society has for the most part lost their faith in their public leaders as they tend to abuse their authority for various reasons and in different manner. Realistically there are multiple reasons why a politician would like to run a public administration; he truly believes that his actions can make a difference, steady fee or he want to improve the visibility of his name in climbing the government ladder . Those are just some interest but it truly depends on the person involved.

  31. 1. I don’t believe there is a single objective for all organizations. A business such as Apple, or Microsoft are for profit organizations whose main objective is to maximize profit. To nonprofit organizations the answer is far less tangible.
Nonprofit organizations purposes are to provide goods or services to help people and to improve society in some way, bettering the communities they serve. They do not generate a profit and instead use any and all income for this purpose.

    2. The interest of an entrepreneur in running a business is to create and maximize profit. The purpose of the business might be a little more broad. For example the restaurants goal may be to serve authentic cuisine from a specific region of Italy.

    3. Politicians interest in running a public administration might be to focus on providing services or making and implementing public policy.

    2) Interpreneur should not have single objective for running a business. Say for example a restaurant owner should care about the branding of his food, good taste and speciality along with profit.

  33. 1.I believe that some organizations have purposes in common, like the satisfaction of their costumers or the profit, except for the non-profit ones. But each organization has different objectives and a specific purpose that depends on the role they have and the service they offer. For example the purpose of an hospital would be different from the purpose of a firm like Apple or Microsoft because the first is focused on the health and the care of citizens, the second and the third are focus on technological items.
2.The interests of a entrepreneur in running a business like a restaurant could be a lot. He should be interested in the business profit, the success, the improvement and the growth of his business and the satisfaction of his customers. The interests of the business itself should be the same as the interests of the entrepreneur.
3.A politician should care about the needs and the problems of the population so he should run a public administration without any personal interests. But it could be an opportunity for the politician to improve his public figure and to influence citizens.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 1) I think that all the organizations have the same aims: grow in importance, value and satisfaction of customers and owners. If we think to Apple (for example) and then to an hospital or to a non-profit organization we can see that what they want is to gain the most possible attenction of the global context; if it happens Apple, hospital and non-profit organizations will gain money and at the same time value. These organizations earning money are able to improve the quality and the quantity of services, better satisfying customers and owners. In this way Apple will try to earn as much as possible and to that it has to improve their products, satisfying customers expectations; the hospital will offer a better health coverage; the non profit organization will have resources to increase its visibility, spreading its ideas and topics (like Greenpeace).

    2) For sure the aim of an entrepreneur running a business is to earn money, but for the business is to improve its services, quality and offers; but to be innovative the entrepreneur has to spend money, so he/she has to make strategies in order to improve the business and to keep at the same time the maximum possible level of profit.

    3) Politicians interests in a public administration should take care of their citizens, leaving out their personal interests, but we know that most of the times it does not happen, this is the reason why societies start to decline. Politicians should find a middle way between their interests and the interest of a public administration because at first politicians are citizens and they have to perceive people needs, but they are also the people able to change and improve the life of a community.

  35. 1) I think that probably a public organization and a no-profit one have the common purpose to improve the social and private life of people, expecially about their health. Here in Italy, the nation doesn't spend so much money to improve the situation of public hospitals, in fact the structures are crumbling and many people lost their job. However those who still work they work to save people and to take care of their health, just like a no-profit organization. Conversely, a private organization like Apple, or anything private, has as a principal purpose to improve their own property. We don't have to think, because of this reasoning, that a public organization is morally better than a private one, probably a private clinic will take care of people as good as a public one, maybe better, but it will do this just because the patient paied for this service.

    2) I think the interests of an enterpreneur in running a business are basically two:
    -A personal interest about a particular business, for example a restaurant or a dressmaker's;
-To improve his personal patrimony, to be able to invest it in other business and to become richer than before.
If we take the example of the restaurant, the owner must think about the interests of his restaurant, or it will worsen the business and it will reduce the same enrichment of the enterpreneur.

3)The interests of a politician in running a public administration could be really a lot, first of all his passion and his desire to improve the social-economical situation of his country, or to maintain it. Obviously there could be lots of other reasons, probably morally worst, but economically better.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 1) I think there is a different aim for each type of organization, although the main purpose of for-profit organizations is to make money. In my opinion, the right question to make is how to be profitable? Every big company should ask itself above all if its goal takes care of law .
On the contrary, no-profit organizations' aim is different , and so provide a service not taking in account gain. Each company such as Apple, Microsoft ,or even an hospital have another important end : be competitve; without competition there wouldn't be the improvement of service offered to people

2)There are many reasons why a man/woman decide to run a business , these could be a personal passion , earn money, or a particular hobby.
So may be , for example, a restaurant that have the same purpose of the owner: let's explain, the restaurant's aim is to give good food to people , and the owner's goal isn't only make money but guarantee the best food in the world or something like this, but it can occur also the opposite thing. So should analyze case by case

3)Politician could decide to run a business for many different reasons, one of these could be promoting himself widening his relation with people, in this case bringing his ideas in public administration . For istance bring a politician idea in a school, or in a hospital could be Dangerous. As for me this is the main risk of involving a politician in a public business .On the other hand the duty of a public administration is to give him an opportunity to improve it (p.a.)

  38. 1. The fact that there are many kinds of organizations (starting from the distinction between private and public ones) allows to infer that the aim of an organization is different from the purpose of another one: as shown in the examples written in the question itself, the aims of Microsoft and of an hospital are definitely different from each other; and, as far as I'm concerned, whether the economic landscape is that various is also thanks to the different objectives of the existing organizations.

    2. To my mind, the aim of an organization is to allow customers to take advantage of a service, offered by the business itself; sometimes it does not correspond to the objective of the entrepreneur that benefits from the earnings of the business, making money and creating values through the firm he runs.

    3. It is clear that politicians need to get people's consent: according to what I think, most of times it is more difficult to manage or to oversee a public administration rather than a private one (a glaring example of this might be our country); by running or financing a public organization, the politician puts himself under the spotlight, getting the approval of the electors. The politician could also push the development of public administrations for a personal matter, for a belief in common wellness, even though I do not think these reasons would be taken seriously nowadays.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 1. In my opinion all the organizations - profit and non-profit- have the same objective that is the customers' benefit. In meantime all of these are born for something different. For example an hospital have to guarantee an excellent service to its patients, for their health, while firms like Apple, Samsung or Microsoft help their costumers to interact with the news from all over the world (political, business news) or just to comunicate with other people.
    2. The creation of a business always starts from an idea or a passion. Taking the examples of a restaurant or a dress shop, I think that the business does not have different interests compared to their owner: they have to guarantee a good service in terms of quality and costs and they must be supported by a strong promotion. But every business is raised up by the owner who invest his own money, so he must earn a profit.
    3. In our society the politician, in most cases, is seen as a corrupted figure, that is able to controll and manipulate the population. So I think that the interest could be earn more money and not to solve problems that may be in a public administration.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 1. I think that different organizations cannot have the same purpose because. If we take the example of healthcare, there might be public hospitals that offer a 'free' service (paid through taxes), while a private one would provide the same service but in a better way and at a higher cost and, in conclusion, the non-profit healthcare organizations (e.g. Medicines sans Frontières) would just think of helping people in need without a profit aim and they can go on only thanks to volunteers and free offers. So, in general, we can assume that public organizations are meant to help people with their ordinary problems with a low income, private are meant to make people's lives better and earn money with this, while non-profit organizations just want to help people and to make their lives easier.

    2. In my opinion, the interest of a business can be different compared to that of its owner because, taking as an example the restaurant there are two possible options: the first one is that the owner is also the cook and so he/she likes cooking and making people happy with what they eat, while the second one is that the owner is an entrepreneur who invests in excellent cooks, great location, the finest furnitures and the best foods and then just earn money from this activity. So there might be a difference between the business interest and its owner's but it is not always like that.

    ReplyDelete
  41. 1)Yes, I think that all kinds of organizations share the same purpose: create value offering new services, what changes is the service and the aim of offering it (for instance: "Save The Children" offers free health care to poor people for "charitable" reasons whilst "P&G" sells chemical products to have an income).
    2) A basic interest of an entrepreneur could be raising money but even satisfying an own passion. I think that if the business follows the entrepreneur's passions It could happen that someday he will take decisions not advantageous by economic or financial side for the business.
3)There could be different interests obviously good and bad, depending on the person's ethics. For example a politician could run a public administration in way to help the community of people or to become famous and unfortunately it happens that sometimes a politician with this kind of power uses it for personal purposes instead of public ones.

  42. 1. I think there isn’t a single objective for all the organizations. At first we can split in two great groups of organizations: public interest and private interest. The organizations of public interest should not have the aim to make profit as an hospital or an non-profit companies because they have to care about people’s health or the wellness of the poors. On the contrary the private interest ones have the purpose of making profit, as Apple Company or Samsung Company they invest their money in products that satisfy customers and all is done with the object of obtaining a lot of money.

    2. The main interest of the entrepreneur in running a business like a restaurant is to obtain a nice atmosphere of the place, is to offer a good quality of food and a pleasant service. Last but not least is to obtain profit from the business. I think could be different business interests comparing the entrepreneur and the owner. The entrepreneur is fully focused in obtaining the maximum profit, the owner is mainly interested in maintaining first the good name of the company and second the profit.

    3. The interest of a politician in running a public administration is to have the aim to satisfy needs and happiness of the society. The interest to administer the city and the people that works in the public administration, trying to do the best to collect votes and obtaining the majority. Another purpose of running a public administration should be the obtaining of the maximum efficiency in public services.

2-As an entrepreneur my first priority of running a business was making profit , after a while i lost the control of my business and it led me into a risky market , so my interest was making profit in a market niche but my business had an interest to compete in a rivalry market , however , after this i found more new and unexpected interests in the business.

3-I believe that a politician who runs public administration could have two separate porpose : first , offer good services to people to becoming more popular between them inorder to gaining more power and manipulate their mind ( this public administration could be fake or weak in it's inside) . or he is a very rare good politician who wants to do something positive for people.

  46. 1- I think we can't compare hospital with firm companies like Apple or Microsoft. Somehow maybe we cold compare a personal hospital with these companies. It is because of their different point of view. I think any company at the first is looking for its benefits and after that they try to improve their ambitions and desires to an international markets in order of improving their incomes and their country economy. By a small consider on some big companies like Apple, Microsoft, Volvo, Scania and ... we can see that how they have started from a small group and now they have all of the international markets in entire the world. Maybe at the first the founders of these company just started for a single purpose, but when they came to the bigger market they have put for their selves different goals for achieving. So in my opinion the purpose which an entrepreneur is running its own company depends on time and the place which they run their business.

2- Again I say it depends of the current situation of the person who wants to make a business. There is an example: KFC! When we read the history of this company we can see the Colonel Sanders tried and changed so many jobs. But all of a sudden he opened a small restaurant and after that he became famous! Because of changing so professions maybe could say that at the first Mr. Sanders didn't like to open a restaurant as well and he just wanted to try it. But after being successful in this business and making that international, this job became his interesting job and his interest and his restaurant business became mutual.

3- If a politician run a public administration I think the only answer for this question is they do that because of power and make a good face of their selves in front of the people.

  51. 1. I think that there are some differences between profit organizations (e.g. Google, Microsoft) which are intrested in earning money giving services and facilities in order to help people day after day. Otherwise, a non-profit organization doesn't care about money, but they focus their aim in helping people without any kind of payment.

    3. Normally, the intrest of a politician in running a public administration, should be: work for the community, focusing his attention on citizens's welfare. Sometimes, a politician use this kind of business in order to solve their own problems.

  54. 1. In my opinion all organizations work in the same direction aiming to satisfy and fulfill the costumer's needs. Whether it is to rescue people's lives for an hospital, or to offer items and devices that will certainly assure a financial gain for a company, that can be Apple or Microsoft, the purpose still remains the one to guarantee the necessities of who decides to benefit from the resources. However, it is obvious that all companies will provide different services and therefore choose different routes for their success, some of which will include the focus on the profit.

    2. Most of the times the entrepreneur's interest in running a business is to succeed, obtain popularity and therefore profit. With none of these three rarely the entrepreneur will be satisfied and the business interests, that can be to meet the client's desires or to better people's conditions, will difficultly be obtained.

    3. Theoretically a public administration should be ran in order to protect the primary needs of the citizens in a society. I believe that politicians have interest in guiding one, on one hand hopefully for the common desire to live in a better country, and on the other to obtain notoriety and advance in their political career.

  55. 1)They dont have same objectives because they are not built for same purposes.some there are profit making organisation ad non profit making organisation.Profit making organisations are for up with a sole objectives from making making from what they offer to the society but non profit the an opposite because its aim is not for making profit and having in mind to receive back these organisations purpose is to help and are sponsored by by the single individual ,cooperate organisations, partnership and the governement ,this organisation are the charity home ,motherless babies home,N.G.O organisations

2)The law of a company is different from interest of the entrepreneur in this case of a restaurant which could be called a company ,its aim is to render a good and quality serivce while the interest of the enterpreneur interest is to make sure his capital invested into the resources of his business produces a Big profit,so the are two things involued restuarant-quality service Enterpreneur-profit

3)The objective of a politian is to provide service to the general public(in a public office)There is no objective of making profit so any one who tries make profit from such office are regarded as "corrupt politicans" All he is entitled to is his salary and allowance.Any other thing is regarded as stealin by trick or pen

  56. 1. The number and type of objectives that an organization has depends on the type of the organization, hence meaning that not all organization do have same single objective that would serve them all. To start with, the public organizations generally to exist to offer a service to the community at the cheapest and lowest possible cost, they do have other objectives such as survival and etc however they solely focus on serving the community and making the service available for everybody, hence creating merit goods that we consume. However the same does not apply to private profit orientated organizations. The main objective of such firms is to make a profit which would enable them to survive and expand in both the short term and the long term there are other objectives that firms seek to such as ethicality, job creation, expansion and etc, however there are more of secondary objectives as I think that the main objectives of private profit orientated firms is to profit maximize or profit satisfy which enable them to survive and achieve their secondary objectives. The NGOs and also the non-profit organization tend to work toward a purpose that would aid the community. This might be similar to what public organizations are trying to do with the difference that except just providing service to everyone, the NGOs and NPOs tend to focus on a very specific objective that would aid a certain part of a community, for instance a NPO who operates in Italy might contribute their profit solely to building water pipes in rural areas of Africa.
    2. Entrepreneurs can have various personal or shared objectives that would encourage them to start up their own business. This might include a larger control in work place (be your own boss), financial objectives (revenue, profit and financial stability), arguably job security, adding value to the community, ethical reasons and many more person objectives
Private business owners reflected objectives through their business to a certain extent, depending on the type and the size of organization. For example in the case of an owner of the restaurant, the objective of the owner might solely be profit orientated whereas the objective of the restaurant as a whole, which includes the objective of not only the owner but also the staff that are contributing towards the business, might solely be based on providing high quality meals to the nearby community. With the small size businesses, the owners can more easily apply their personal objectives to the organization, since the span of control is large and the communication is easy, the owners can easily reflect their personal objectives such as profit orientation to the business in comparison to a larger organization which has to take the needs of all the stakeholders into consideration when making a decision or setting an objective, otherwise it would lead to conflict of interest among the owner and staff and can eventually lead to inefficacy and failure.

    3. In a perfect world, the objective of a politician running a public administration would be to enable the whole community to more easily use that merit or public good and as mentioned before, provide the service at cheapest possible cost to the community without any degree of discrimination. However in a more realistic world, depending on the country and the culture, politicians will definitely have some personal objectives which might or might not influence the way they run the public administration. For instance in my country Iran, the previous president mostly focused on his personal objectives which included collusions and private financial benefits that enabled him and his party to steal the public funds and exploit the Iranian community, his objective for instance was to ensure that all his companions and his family members received a political position in the governing body, enabling him to increase his control over the Iranian society, which led to many collusions and corruptions that were discovered after his presidency period was over.

  57. 1. I don't think the organizations have all the same purpose, it depends which organization they are. The most common objective is to earn money (f. e. a restaurant) but there are also non- profit organizations which are often very helpful for the society, like the organizations of volunteering. Their aim is to help people and it's more a moral concept than a business one. A business man has almost always the objective to earn money as first purpose. It always depends on the entrepreneur and on the service he wants to offer.
    2. The entrepreneur wants to increase his profit, his interest is to reach success with his own business and the purpose of the business itself, is to offer the best service to the customers. As a consequence, entrepreneur and business don't have always the same purposes.
    3. Politicians should for example establish founds that will be assigned to the public bodies that guarantee the best service. The interest of politicians should be to create the best service for the society but sometimes the distribution of this fonds is not fair because of their personal interests .

2.I think an entrepreneur benefit main business is to earn money.Enterprise can from services such as a restaurant for hygiene, the number of enterprises , because the owner can make more money and let his company will be better.
3.First,the number of enterprises and the local economic development .Second, the quality of people life.Because it can help a politician get more supporters and let him have more interests.

  60. 1- Organisations such as Apple or Microsoft have the sole purpose of producing something that gives pleasure to the personal life of a person. So, in fact, their purpose is to create something more and more technologic and innovative than the previous one in order to have more and more profit. Instead, if we talk about an hospital we realise that is something absolutely necessary abs as such exist as a primary asset and not just for profit.

2- The entrepreneur is not only the person who looks for making money. Is the person who makes sure that the whole "machine" functions in the right way. So he cares about the quality and the efficiency of its service.

3- The Greek word "πολιτική τέχνη" as art of public affairs perfectly describes the role that a politician should be: looking after people and their city. Therefore , the public administration, which protects citizens should be in his interest.

  61. 1. I think all organizations aim at satisfying the costumers' needs and convincing them to purchase their products in order to gain not only money but also publicity and the security of being able to be an important part of a costumer's life.

    2. An entrepreneur has big financial interests in running a business. He surely wants to count on a great net of people and relations which could guarantee him to make a profit out of something really popular as a restaurant. Naturally, he knows that the only way of gaining money and a certain profit is to well-instruct those people who will be in charge of going to meet the customer's needs of quality and interests. An entrepreneur wants then to invest on something that could give him something stable and profitable independently of what the business to run is. I think the business, since it is made up of different kinds of people working to sustain it, could have purer interests compared to the owner who might just want to gain money and might be unconcerned about the quality of the products purchased and sold.

    3. If the politician taken into consideration is a respectable and incorruptible man, then his only interest would be that of assuring good public services, protection and gaining trust by the people who have elected him to such a position. If the politician thinks of gaining profit by running a public administration, I guess it is doing something illegal and against the public interest.

No, not at all.every enterprise has its own objectives. But they all have to satisfy their field customers. Some times they get profit and some times they face loss. They can also change thier purposes according to time and market needs.

    2=
To me these three points are main priorties for all type of businesses:
^ Save GOOD WILL (I mean reputation in market).
^ Satisfy their customers. (Keeping in mind 1st Q, Patients are also customers in one sense :p ).
    ^ Make profit.
Except that some organizations may have thier own interests and this can also differ from their owners.

    3=
This depends on that person's nature how he deals with it.He can either use it for public wellfare or to increase his power.
In some countries a politician can not promote his business but he can only invest when he is on government post.

*Please be humble with my English.

  63. 1) Although there are different types of organizations, in my opinion, their purpose should be the same - satisfy the patients/customers' demand. Naturally it will come in different ways: in the case of an hospital it has to provide efficient services to their patients. Firms like Apple or Microsoft had to ensure products are useful.

    2) Most of entrepreneurs who run a business do it to make money. Only a few among them start businesses that follow what they are good at doing and their passions. A business itself has to bring valuable products. In the first example the business has a different interest compared to its owner meanwhile in the second one they match or they are very close.

    3) Politics should be the medium to make citizens' lifes easier and politician shouldn't get any personal profit. Their only interest should be to get absolutely satisfied by making their society a fairer place. Nowadays this idea is different and won't change until politicians won't stop looking for personal profits.

  64. 1)In my opinion , It depend on the nature of a company, because different companies have different choices, for example, the biggest objective of company is profit ,such as APPLE,MICROSOFT.Because only profit can support the entire company`s function. But for non-profit organizations, like public hospital. It is just found for offering helping and more convenient service to consummate infrastructure.Because the public organization has the supporting of government .
2)I think the location and customer lines are two important elements for restaurant`s profit. If the owner can analyze correctly in a way,the restaurant would be better ; In the meanwhile ,the consumer psychology can not be ignored .So,as a manager ,he/she must weigh the pros and cons.
3)I can realize that the politicians usually improve their political position through supporting the public organizations. But in the other hand ,the public administration can become better to provide more considerate service when they get the endorsement from politicians. So we can say that they are mutually beneficial relationship with each other

    ReplyDelete
  65. 1) I am sure there are several purposes in any kind of organizations, undoubtedly profit organizations have as final goal money, but inevitable there has to be something else even in those kind of companies. We have different examples of very famous and well known firms in the question number 1, Microsoft, Apple, this last one has specific goals beside making money. to strengthen my thesis I' ll say that i know for sure that one of Apple's objective is to create and build technologies, which may be represented by the simple mobile phone that we use everyday, which will become extensions of the individual who uses them. As a consequence behind a solid company there is a solid believe who will grant and incentivate a successful business. if, beside making money there are also other purposes in profit aziende, obviously there are also multiple objectives in organizations like hospitals, insurance companies and in general non-profit organizations which don't have money as one of their purposes, or at least it is not the most important.
    2) There surely exist a wide variety of reasons that lead an entrepreneur to start up his own business, I won' t start as usual with the most easily visible reason which is growing a profit. Many times a business comes from a dream, or better said it develops over a wider vision that an individual might elaborate, therefor it is absolutely wrong, from my point of view, saying that profit is the cause and the objective who incentivate entrepreneurs starting businesses. There are endless reasons, most of whom most of us are not even able to vaguely see. It might happen that when a business built on this wider vision, with these specific valors, with the time passing by and the inevitable staff turnover, a different owner might be the head of the company and potentially having different believes compared to those before him, so yes, it has happened, it happens and it will keep happening to have businesses and owners with different primary purposes.
    3) Today most people who live in italy would probably say that the only interest in running a public administration is to have the possibility to place him/herself in a privileged position with the only goal to pursue personal advantages. Unfortunately this way of thinking is a consequence of our culture in which everybody tries to gain over things. But i still believe that there are people who, maybe, have a deeper sense of morality, ethics and of what is right and wrong and still feel the need to respect and make respect, believe and persuade to believe in this valors, maybe running public administrations.

  66. 1) No I don't. Because organizations have different objectives based on a specific mandate. A hospital is an organization financed by tax payers which primary objective is to heal the sick. Corporations , on the other hand, like Apple and Microsoft have competitive objectives meant to dominate market share. Non profit organizations often have a specific goal in mind for example combating global warming, whereas oil and gas companies make profits by creating global warming.
    2) The interests of an entrepreneur in running a business could be to succeed in his goal and to make a great idea into reality. A business has basic objectives, meet market demand and earn a profit in doing so, for example a restaurant must serve food, but what and how it is served is personal and is up to the entrepreneur to decide.
    3) It depends on the motive of the politician. Some might have a business back round and be more interested in obtaining power, while others are more morally based and wish to change as what they interpret as injustice.

  68. 1) From my perspective, nowadays it is impossible to have just one goal in each organizations .They need severals aims to make a business work and one of the most important is to guarantee the welfare of their employees so that they will do the same with the costumers, making them happy and sure to invest in that organization. Moreover , to achieve a long term value and profit are essentials as well .

2)What i really think is that the interests of an entrepreneur are all aimed at the profit, but as i said in the first answer, it is also strongly essential that the entrepreneur takes care of his employees ,because thanks to them he can build his empire and so to achieve his owns interests. Taking the case of a restaurant we can say that it aims to make good quality dishes and acceptable prices so that people are satisfied and will come back there soon , instead the duty of the owner is to make sure that everything works well and also to make a lot of publicity to be known and to increase its profit .

    3) What usually a politician aims to do, running a public administration ,is to be known as much as possible and in the best way so that people recognize him or her as a great, altruist human and leader , but this is just what he or she wants us to believe, because the real fact is that politicians are often selfish people and they just want to gain power doing charitable acts. Hopefully, not all of them act like this just for their own and unique interests but there are those who want the welfare for all the citizens.

  69. 1) I would like to start the discussion giving a general definition of profit and no profit organizations; the first one are the most common "aziende" they work just to create value using all the factors of productions; they have to understand what are the needs and the wants of the consumers, than they have to elaborate the best strategy to get their products on the market area. This kind of research has some important cost, that must be amortize from the revenue, also because investors had to cover the cost to have a positive gain.
No profit organizations are different, they don't operate to create value but just to make investments for their internal business, this kind of organizations have also the support of some tax benefits, that help the structure to maintain the economical stability.

  70. 1- I think that for all the organizations there are different aims. Each organization is made different than the others: if it's a electronic organization like Apple could have for objective to spread his products, instead if it's an hospital could have for objective to take care of his patients.

2- An entrepeneur in a running business (in an organization like a restaurant) certainly has interest to make money, and to increase the number of customers. If a restaurant doesn't make money and it has few customers directly it fails. No, i don't. If the owner at the beginning spends money to the restaurant it's because he wants to gain over, so he has the same interest.

3- A politician usually has interest to take care of public life,so his interest in a public administration is to improve service to citizens.

  72. 1- I think that all the organizations have the common objective to work efficiently and effectively otherwise an it would close down.
It is commonly said that all the profit organizations just want to make as many money as possible, and most of the times it is true, but for example, in the ethical profit organizations, another aim is to produce "green" products or to ensure a fair salary to its employees.
Public organizations's aim should be to provide the best good at services to the population not to gain profit but just because they want to.

2- The interests of an entrepreneur running his/her business is to create value, make money and provide good at services the best way it is possible. To run a business an entrepreneur needs the help of other people (colleagues, employees, etc.) and he/she has to persuade all the people who work with him/her to share his/her aim.

3- It should be just to work for the population, to provide good services and to be honest. No one should ever use the political power to obtain money and more power.

  73. 1) I think that the main purpose of every organization is to create value, so this means that a company must aim different goals such as profit, satisfing the needs of the clients, and having a good relationship with the suppliers.
Moreover, depending on the kind of organization, wheter it is profit or non-profit, there are specific aims.
For example Apple or Microsoft aim to be the leader of technology market, while the specific objective of an hospital is to take the best healtcare to the patients.

2)The interest of the entrepreneur in running a business could be to make it work the best, using whatever means available, in order to get a very good profit. I think that the business could have a different interest compared to its owner. For example an entrepreneur who runs a restaurant, in order to get more money, could aim more on the cost and the quantity of the product, even choosing a discreet but cheaper one, while the business could aim on the quality of it.

3)The interest of a politician in running a public administration could be to make his image the most fascinating, in order to get more approvals from the citizens, hence more power.
This means that he should satisfy the needs and requests of the citizens.

  74. 1_ In my opinion, considering the first three types of organizzations mentioned, we might see some similiraties because of the final results: the gain of money in exchange of somenthing. However, the Apple company, as well as the Microsoft company, sell supplies to make the best profit they can make from it in order to achieve their final business goal. This can also lead to the business competion between the two. While an hospital, even a private one, is focused on giving the best performance to the patients in order to hill them. Non-profit organization manage the funds they have to help the comunity, but any profits among members can not be divided between them.

2_ Running a business such a restaurant is a type of career that requires characteristics of leadership, managing of people and supplies and money.. I think it's a quite exciting experience besides the concept of making money wich can be mesured only after the owner have settled the right basis to start the bussiness (initial funds to be invested in the business, the location of the restaurant and many other things indispensable).

3_ What coud be interesting in running a political career is the chance of giving to society the contribute that only public administration allows to give. A politician can have a terrific influence on people life by voting or proposing laws to make things happen, and can also have a great impression on the youngers to inspire them for the future.

  75. Above all else, I'd say that I've never studied economy before, but I'd try to explain my idea.
    1. Public and Private enterprises doesn't works for the same purposes. What did they have in common? Provides services, goods or something like that.
Public enterprises works in order to provides services to the people, for example an hospital in which the aim is to look after their costumers.
Private enterprises like Microsoft, Apple , Samsung and a lot of multinational in the world works in order to satisfy the customer's tastes.
Their purposes are to improve their jobs's objects to make the products that they made the best on the market, in order to reach money and constantly improve their creations.

    2. The clear goal of every single entrepreneurs are make money. It could happens in every single activity the enterpreneurs decided to invests, a simple restaurant, a club, a market , everything. What is useful to reach the success? Market strategies. Every single things could be decisive, even a simple arranging objects. A restaurant could have success ensuring a good quality food, maybe offering special offers in particular cases. What also determines a good or bad trend in a restaurant ( for example ) ? The services that it can offer value for money. However, this is what every single restaurant owners should remember in any case: " The customer is always right ".

    3. Considering a politician in his incorrupt figure, he should work in order to solve problems.
His main purpose should be helps citizens, in order to build his strong figure of man who can administer.

  76. 1-) I think that every organisation have its own purpose ..an organisation like Apple or Microsoft give they service for the purpose to satisfy the customer ---beat the concurrent and grow but with the ending purpose of profit money . .A non profit organisation have the only purpose to give service at a specific group of people with nothing in exchange....

2-) I think that a specific business is created for a specific need of the owner. ..so I think it's impossible to have different interest. .

3-)The interest of a politician has to be offering a good service to the people. ..

    ReplyDelete
  77. 1) According to me, each organization, both private and public, has different kinds of purposes. Private firms have a general aim, which is making money. At the same time, they also develop specific objectives, like becoming a multinational enterprise, being the only in a local market to sell a particular product or service, or maybe even helping people. The main purpose for public administrations is providing a service to the whole collectivity, but even for them there are different and specific purposes according to their role in the society.

    2) Entrepreneurs who run the same business could have different interests. Each business has a main purpose, which is providing prepared food for restaurants. But then, the owner develops his idea to create a successful firm. For example, the owner of a fast food, wants to attract young people or those who don't have so much time to make a complete meal. In this way there will be frequent customers who don't spend so much money. The owner of a typical restaurant prefers to have older people who sometimes go out to eat something particular or people coming from other countries, who want to try local food. This business attracts fewer customers, with a lower frequency, who spend more money.

    3) Politicians running public administrations should have all the same aim. They should chose this profession because they want to represent the collectivity, because they care about people or they want to help their countries in a development process. Unfortunately, today this noble profession has been corrupted by those who think only of themselves and those who want to steal money without providing any services.

  78. 1) I think organizations do not have single objectives. To achieve more and more results an organization should put in front of itself various purposes such as the profit, the satisfaid costumers, an affordable products for a certain kind of costumer or for the majority and so on. Objectives let organizations to grow up. But it is obvious that organizations have different aims between eachother; for example the profit and the no-profit ones.
    2) Profit is the main entrepreneur’s interest. But the profit comes only if there is a good quality and market of the products of his business . The interest of the business cannot be different from the one of the owner, or better say that even if different, thay are at least strectly connected. The succes of the products (business’ interest) is connected to the profit (owner’s interest).
    3) A politician is a “civil servants” and as a public figure has the interest in running a public administration. These interests should be the wellness of the citizens and the respect of their rights.

  79. 1) Each organization has a different objective depending on which kind of legal form have been chosen and the type of service they provide. However one common purpose of both for profit and non-profit organization could be the satisfaction of its customers. The main aim of public and private administrations is to create a value, instead non-profit administrations' interest is to achieve their own objective leaving out the purpose of gain money.
    2) Generally the main interest of a entrepreneur who decides to run a business is to make a profit. If the entrepreneur start a business which expresses his interest ( i.e. someone good at cooking who decides to set up a restaurant), he/she will have the same interest of the business, that is satisfy customers providing valuable products. On the other hand if the entrepreneur run a business, in which the only interest is to earn money, than the owner will have different interest compared to its business.
    3) For a politician running a public administration should be a way to take care about citizens' interests leaving out his own, in order to enhance the civil service.

On the other hand, non-profit organizations work differently: Their main aim is to offer a welfare service ,and they are not interested in generating a profit.

    2) in my opinion the final purpose of every entrepreneur is to make money, and the business they run is just the medium to reach their aim. This is why I do believe that a business and the owner who runs it have always the same objective.

    3) Usually the interest of a politician running a public administration should be to help providing better public services for the community. 83. To begin with, I should say these are kind of general questions and with my basic knowledge about business, my answers would be general as well.

    1) If I can use the word "satisfaction" with a wide general definition, then I can say that, yes, there can be a single purpose of creation of all organizations, and that is "to provide satisfaction" . I mean, not only creation of organizations, but also the basis of any activity that humans do is to reach to a point of satisfaction. In other words, all systems in the world try to fulfill some basic or more important needs and finally get satisfaction out of it.

    2) An entrepreneur can have many various reasons to start a business and the reasons are in a really wide range. Maybe the main answer to this question, by many people with average knowledge , would be "to take financial benefits out of the business". But, it can have much more reasons. One reason that might not be seen easily is that the entrepreneur wants to show his/her ability and creativity to others. which might of course lead to benefits for other people who are related to that business.

The difference between the interest of business and the interest of its owner depends on its owners point of view. For example, there might be someone who starts a restaurant because he/she has free time and would like to use this free time on having a restaurant and that's it. but after he starts this restaurant , this place will become a place to serve food and other services for people, which was not the main reason why the owner started it. so, in such cases there could be differences.

    3) If we consider that all politicians are elected by normal people of the same society , either directly or indirectly, then I can say that people expects politicians to serve them in the way they want. Of course, in return to serving people, politicians are also looking for some benefits . So , it is like win-win to run a public administration in a proper way. Politicians serve , and they reach what they want the most, power and respect.

So , these were my opinions , based on what I know about business so far. I hope I will get a better completed understanding of all these questions as we move on with our sessions and I will review these questions after a while.

  84. 1. In my opinion, the common objective that characterizes every kind of organization is the achievement of the purpose they have been created to (which could be both earning money supplying goods or providing specific services for free), and consequently the success of the business itself through strategies which can lead to a constant improvement.
    2. An entrepreneur’s interest in running a business could be making profit through an innovative idea which has to be developed in the right way, considering the demand and the supply, and then how much the service you are about to provide is wanted and how to supply it in the best way. In my opinion, the owner’s aim should go hand in hand with his business, in order to focus on a common purpose and to take full advantage.

  85. 1.No,I do not think that aii the organizations have the single objective. For example, the ospital just aims to people's health.A firm like apple only helps for the development of science and techonology.the non-profit organizations only aim to help the people who are in trouble. So, I do not think that there is a single objective for all the organizations.
2.As far as I am concerned, the interests of the enterpreter is profit. And if I running a bussiness,I will try my best to decrease the risks in order to run a successful business.

Public organisation think about people health and services because their salaries are controlled by the government . Microsoft or Apple company think their product popularity. Non-profit organisation have to creat volentare service .
    2. Running a business the entrepreneurs think about profit and best care because if he fail to give good service his business will no more longer.

    1. I think that the purpose of any business is to be successful. Success is mean that the business is working. If your hospital is successful people will want to come when they sick an so on..
    2. Some entrepreneur will want to focus on their product while the other will want to focus on the protective. Yes the owner can have another purpose from his business, for example if i have a restaurant and i am not interested to serve my customers a good food, i am interested that my restaurant will look good.
    3. The interesting of the politician can be to make the public business more productive or may be expand the business

  88. 1) I think the main objective for every business is survival. Like every entity, it needs to justify the purpose of its existence and in that comes the different objectives that firms usually have. Some are profit driven and some are more focused on social responsibility while others aim to create a shift in thought by introducing new technology and new ways of doing things.

    2) Some common interests of an entrepreneur includes profit, self development , social responsibility, making new connections with people by fulfilling their needs. The difference in interest between a business and its owner would depend on the type of business it is. It is highly likely a sole proprietorship or a partnership would have very similar aims to its owner as he has more control over the majority of his business. The aims of the business will start to differ if it is a public limited or a private limited company as the control over various aspects of the company is now handed over to a board of directors who may have different aims from the owner.

    3) Depending on the country and type of political system, the aims of a politician can include fame and money, social responsibility, patriotism, experience etc

  89. 1) In my opinion, Every organization has the same objective that is improving life's people with their services but each of them has an own objective that is different from the other ones.

    2) The main interest for an entrepreneur is definitely making money, but there are also secondary aspects like bringing an activity that is not present in a specific area or for a simply personal satisfaction.
The business objective is to give the better service to people who benefit it , using , in the restaurant case, high quality food with not so high price or giving an efficient service to them.

    3) The first thing I think about a politician who wants to run a public administration is having an own interest due to the fact of his fame or the favour he has but in other cases, he could provide to an improvement of this public administration.

  90. 1. I think there is definitely a single objective for all the organizations because all of them want to be successfull in their own fields, their minds are not only set for the profit they are gonna get but they also consider how they can be productive for the users ( society).
    2. In my opinion the entrepreneurs usually think ahead of time and that's why they are always ready to take the risk to run the business because they know that if the results are good afterwards they can improve their business adding up totally new different ideas, whcih could be more profitable and beneficial for his business and the society. And business itself could only be flowing on one successful way, but I think the owner is always ready to make a difference in order to achieve more.
3.The interest of politician in running a public administration is that he believes that he can pass his own views to the society and implement everything by his own way, and most of the time they seek for a new productive change to gain the attention.

  91. 1 - Organizations has got all the same objectives. As we know, hospitals exist for patients that has to be cured; Apple exist to create devices and to connect everyone; non-profit organizations as UNICEF exist to help poor children etc. etc. So we can say that there is a single object for all the organizations, and that is to help the people in need.

2 - The final interest of entrepreneurs is the profit, but we need to know that profit is not their only interest. In fact, if they don’t have a good idea that satisfies the clients, they don't obtain any profit. The interest of a business is just satisfy the client, while the interest of the owner is to satisfy the client for the profit.

3 - In my opinion, the biggest interest of a politician in running a public administration is to achieve the appreciation of the people, to get votes and to be loved by the people of country itself.

  92. 1. For any organization there is more the one purpose, but for most of the organizations, the main objective is profit. each organization has another priorities, which they choose to "show" more. if everybody had the same purposes there weren't competition or scarce.

    2. The Interests of an entrepreneur is basically the profit. the business do have another interests. it is possible that the owner cares about the profit, but the company need to gives a service to create a profit, unless all the investments will go away. this situation is common in most of the existing business for my opinion, but in time, some of the owners see "eye to eye" with the business interests.

    3. The Interests of a politician is to be elected by the people that he is represented. he wants to show them that he can give them an answer for all their problems, to show them that he is motivated by the same values, that they speak the same language.

    ReplyDelete
  93. 1. Even if every kind of organization has different objectives, in my opinion there is a purpose that is the same for all: earning money and create something that arouses customers' curiosity and satisfies them. If organizations haven't had the support and the approval of buyers they couldn't grow and survive.
    2. In most cases the entrepreneur and the business of the same organization may have different interests. Indeed the entrepreneurs want to make profit and earn money firstly for themselves; whereas the business mainly takes care about the stability of the entire organization

  94. I do believe that all organizations share the same objective that is to create value. There is, however, a difference in the ways these corporations achieve the aim. For instance, a public administration (i.e. museum) creates a social/cultural value, while a “for profit” azienda creates money: an economic value. The difference lays also in the way one can calculate this value: for “for profit” corporations is easy to determine the profit but when it comes to “non-profit” ones it gets a little more difficult as they create an “immaterial” good/profit.

What I learnt is that profit is not a “dirty” word. So at the question: “What could be the interests of the entrepreneur in running a business” I would answer: the profit, that is the same interest the owner has. However, the role of the entrepreneur is different from the one of the owner; the former, indeed, has to keep in mind people’s needs and requests and has to know how to supervise over a company.

In my opinion, the main interests a politician has in running for a public administration are, sadly, power and profit; at least nowadays. They need power to be braver, to build a huge ego, which is different from self-esteem. And in a world in which corruption has become a key word, something to rely on, they can be easily manipulated in order to create more profit.

  96. 1. I think that a great number of organization share the same purpose, the profit. An enterprise needs money to raise and survive, but i believe that organizations always work for their costumers, searching the best ways to satisfy them, and for their image, an important point for an enterpraise's successful future.

    2. The purpose of an entrepreneur, i think, can be totally different from the owner of an organitazion or both of these two figure could follow the same purpose, and it could be the profit or the satisfaction of the costumers. My idea is that the entrepreneur is more concetrate on the costumer 's needs than the owner, whom mostly research money in his activity.

    3. In my opinion the purpose of a politician running in a pubblic administration is for himself realization or a volition to help people, society, or why not both of them. But the examples of the politic world, often leaded by corruption, make me think this interest is to make money in a easy way, making profit illegally.

  97. 1. I would assume that every organization (whether it is profit or non-profit) has a single objective of making profit. But that would be a naive thought. In order for an organization’s survival (short-term, medium-term or long term) it must pursue multiple objectives. For instance, to make the most profit as possible, a hospital (regardless of whether on its ownership; voluntary, private or running by the State) would want to provide effectively and quality health care to the patients yet within its finance budget. Firms like Apple and Microsoft are considered as two of the most innovative business organizations in the technology world. Theirs objectives may not just to be to increase the markets shares, but also to develop new and exciting products in order to keep the costumers happy and to get more sales. They may also want create/provide a good work environment for the employees, so they can continue to help the organizations’ profit to grow. A non-profit organization would want to raise the awareness of its company in order to get donations from the public and gain their trust.

    2. I think four of the most important interests (that I can come up with right now) of the entrepreneur in running a business, especially for restaurant owners, are to have lowest loan (from the bank) as possible, good food, and good customer service/brand reputation. Why? The restaurant industry is highly competitive nowadays. By taking a big loan from the bank is a risk if the restaurant owner can’t keep his/hers business growing. In order to keep the business going, the restaurant owners would want to give good quality food and top services to the customers in order to “keep them coming back and also to “spread” the good reviews of the restaurant”. I don’t think the restaurant may have a different interest compared to its owner, because doing a business is challenging enough. So by doing something that you don’t have a passion for or stand for would be a “dead-end” in long terms.

    3. I think the most important interest of a politician in running a public administration is to be the “good front figure” for the public (i.e openness, to solve the issues/problems, to gain trust and be truthful to the citizens and to provide information.)

    ReplyDelete
  98. 1. All of the organizations are made to be in favor of the people. They should be easy to find and they should be public(for everyone who needs smth from them). Moreover, the organizations should offer something better than a competitive company ( higher quality, lower price). Their single aim is to be selected from more people than an organisation that offers the same service.

    2. The entrepreneur's interest in running a business is selling their product in higher price than they have bought it. Their only interest is to receive more money than they invest. The example with the restaurant is not appropriate because the restaurant's interest is not feeding the people ( it is not food for the poor in a church ). So the restaurant's interest is to be selected and to be full therefore to receive (people and money). To conclude, the owner's interest is the same as the interest of the restaurant-receiving.

    3. Running a public administration if politician is very clever because people want from politicians to be honest and to do everything that is good for the society. It is notorious that every politician lies so when a politician wants to be selected from the society, they just pretend they do not hide anything. So the interest of the politician is to make people think that they can control the situation and that they are a part of it.

  99. 1. The single objective of all organization is to provide goods and services to the public
    2. The sole aim of an entrepreneur is to maximize profit. The business interest is not different from its owners . it interest is to provide quality services in return for profit .

on the market especially on the long-term, because this is the reason why they started doing business in the first place. The path or the plan that they choose to follow is what makes them different.

    2. An entrepreneur's interest in running a business might be to make profit. Whereas the business
itself might have much more interest in surviving for as long as it can on the market.

    3. It depends on the politician. Some of them run a public administration for the greater good,
but most of them do it just for the image.

  101. 1. I don't think that there is a single objective for all the organizations.
It's extremely important to make a distinction between profit and non-for-profit organizazions: both work to satisfy human needs and wants but while profit organizations create things only to earn money, non-for-profit organizations produce and create to provide goods and services.

2.The interest of an entrepreneur in running a business could be making profit in a short time but can also be a long term interest if the entrepreneur concentrates on the amount of time the business survives.

    3. In my opinion the interest of a politician in running a public administration could focus on improving public services.

  102. 1- i think that all the organizations(an hospital, Microsoft, a no profit organizations...) have one common objetive, they want to satisfy to meet the needs of their customers in the best way, afterwards the opportunity to realize this objectives changes from organizations to organizations.

2-one of the interest of all entrepreneurs is, of course, to gain a a good profit. They could obtain this profit in a short or long term changing their strateg: making low price with a good quality it's a way to have a profit in a long term otherwise normal price with low quality it's a way to gain a profit but only in a short time. The aim of a restaurant is to offer the best service to his customers with an high quality. Finally it depends from the entrepreneur's aims, i think a good entrepreneur will have the same aim of the restaurant, provide an excellent service to customers at an affordable price that also allows to mantain the restaurant

3-politician should run a pubblic administration with the aim of offer the best service to the people, improving what is already there.

  107. 1. I think all the organizations have different objectives. But everyone organization works with the primary goal of satisfying a human need and secondary thought of getting profits in exchange. If we talk about private companies like Apple, Microsoft their idea is to make profits but they are also helping the world to make a better place by providing with the latest technology. Non profit orgaization dont seek for profits they just want to bring some change in the society by helping people without expecting anything in return. So I say that the objectives of organizations are different.

    2. The interest could not be different than the owner or entreprenuer because he decides what is the main goal of setting up the businness. It could be mainly for the profits or maybe they want to be the best in the competition by providing the best service.

3.Many people enter public service careers because they are idealists; they believe in and seek to advance noble principles. But the main objective of a politician is to develop values and help the community in whatever they need to have done, but cannot do, at all.

  110. 1. There couldn’t be a single purpose for all the organizations because companies like Apple and Microsoft, are for-profit organisations which means they seek for profit while competing in high levels of technological advances for the satisfaction of the communities. Meanwhile organisations like public hospitals are non-profit organisations which their objective is to help community.

    2. The interests of an entrepreneur who’s running a business like a restaurant would be profit while satisfying all of its stakeholders interests. I personally don’t think that the restaurant (business) may have a different interest compared to the one of its owner, because for the business to be successful, the owner must think in favour of all of its stakeholders.

    3. Public organisations should be non-profit, therefore a politician running a public organisation should be interested in supporting the community.

  111. I think that even if it might appear that all organizations have different purpose, they all share a common goal that is to deliver a product or service that is useful. If there is no need for a product or a service, it would be meaningless for someone to work for it.

The entrepreneur of a running business aims to satisfy clients, or future purchaser. In achieving this, he/she can gain the profit which will be useful and necessary for all types of activities needed for the business. If the interest of the business and the entrepreneur are not the same, there could be a problem in managing the former. Entrepreneurs should always define the goals clearly so all the people that work for it know what they are doing.

I politician who runs a public administration could take advantage of this to be more popular and get approvals from the people.

  113. 1) In my opinion different entities have different objectives(purposes) because every person have different sight in life and also different point of views, and i believe that each entrepreneur have different opinion on how to have a better life.

    2) Nowadays, many entrepreneur start business to earn money which is good for the economy and for personal needs which are also fundamental for life. But there are also other entities which operate only because "it's the right thing to do"(Philanthropism). Yes, it may have a different interest between the owner(e.g money purposes) and the business itself(e.g pharmacy, which should be helping patients).

    3) This is a delicate topic to discuss nowadays, because there are many politicians who run public administration/s only for money or propaganda. But hopefully there are also politicians who run public administration/s not only for his/her personal need but for the better of the whole community/country.

  114. 1) In my opinion there is an overall purpose for all the organizations, that is satisfy human needs. Obviously, there are specific objectives, which are different from one organization to another, for example for what concerns a hospital, its purpose is to take care of the health of his patients, while for a company like Apple, the objective is to provide high-quality electronic equipment to its customers, earning money.
2)I believe that the interest of the entrepreneur and the business itself in running a business like a restaurant is different.
In fact, the first interest of the entrepreneur is to maximize the profit and earn money for himself, while for the restaurant, the primary interest is to satisfy customers with an efficient service, offering good dishes or listening to customers' wishes.
3)from a positive point of view, a politician might decide to run a public organization to take care of the city and its citizens;from the negative one this could be a way to get personal benefits.

  115. 1) Each organization has different purposes and they differ to each other depending on the scope of the firm and on the service the firm wants to provide. However, there is a common purpose for all kind of entities:the satisfaction of customers needs and the creation of value . For example, the interest of the hospital is to take care of the patients and cure them.
2)the interest of an entrepreneur that runs a business is to succeed in his goals and make profit. Obviously in the example of the restaurant , the entrepreneur before making profit should guarantee good quality of food and let the employees work in a peaceful place, helping them to collaborate to each other and working with the same interest:satisfy customers needs.
    3) politicians in a public administration should take care of their citizens instead of their own interests. They should care about the needs of the population without any personal interests, but we know that most of the time this doesn't happen since they rather increase their powers influencing at the same time also citizens.

2)entrepreneur is the risk taker and he always looks for the profit but for he should not provide poor quality of the services and products ,if he provides costumer satisfaction he can make money in short period .

3)The interests of the politician in running of public administration is to develop the country, public welfare programmes, economic development, providing infrastructural facilities and he can also misuse his power in creating the negative effects.

  117. 1) I think that there is not a single purpose for all the organizations, but they surely work for an overall objective that is the satisfaction of human wants and needs. Surely the aim of a firm that produces for the technology's sector is completely different from the aim of an hospital or a non-profit organizations (like Save the Children). The former works for the market, for the customers(wants and needs of the customers) and consequentely to make profit, the second works to take care of human beings.

    2) From my point of view the objective or an entrepreneur running a business is always to make profit, to earn money as soon as possible. Sometimes this approach could be detrimental for the business itself. To make a business successfull is important to remember that the principal aim is to satisfy the desires of the customers. Working with the best quality products, with the employees's competencies is the key to make a business successfull. In other cases the the interest of the business could be different from the interest of its owner, because the owner could put as the first interest the profit and not the mission of the business.

    3) especially in the italian context politicians could not have as the principal interest the well being of its citizens running a public role. sometime could happen that the private interest of politicians interfere with their institutional role. i strongly think that the only interest of politicians and institutional persons is to take care of citizens, problem of its nation , and no to care of its own benefits.
