Workers then place over the steel mold a slotted Plexiglas to hold down the left over trimming. Solid golf ball core are now picked up by vacuum. A robot transports the balls into another mold to form the outside shell. The ball elevator takes them to the automatic miller to clean the plastic in excess. A robotic arm takes them to the quality checkpoint and then to the stamping machine that brands each ball. When the golfballs are dry, they are ready.
